I feel like a while ago I said that "Spring is around the corner", and then we got hit with another solid month of snow!! But, today as I write this, on April 7, the sun is shining and the roads are bare... so if you are itching to get a special vehicle on the road, drop in or give us a call! Enjoy!

A bit of an introduction to me and my agency: I was born and raised in Hancock and now I am so excited to be back here starting my own State Farm Agency. I am fortunate and proud to have the opportunity to carry on my father Mike Lahti's legacy, who was a State Farm Agent in Hancock for 55 years. Until recently, I was living in the Cleveland area with my family while I was teaching anthropology at Case Western Reserve University and then going to medical school. But Hancock's pull on me was just so powerful that I was always looking for an opportunity to come back, and State Farm is now that opportunity and I am loving it!

I am always looking for ways to engage in the community, and now the nonprofit that I co-founded in 2015, Right Start UP, has started the Hancock Community Hub in the old Hancock Central High School building downtown. We hope to work with community partners to make the Hub a place where people can come together to watch a show in the Hub Theater, join an aerobics class, share a meal, and have regular board game café nights. More to come!

I have one son off to Ann Arbor at the University of Michigan in the School of Music, Theater and Dance – you may see him playing the alto sax in some of my social media! My second son is at the University of Toronto studying physics. The other two children are in middle school; they are into sports and dance, and spending time with so much family in town!

I am grateful for this opportunity, and I will work hard to earn your business and make this agency thrive. I would love to get to know you and demonstrate to you our ethic of excellent customer service – please stop in!
